Kiezgestein – 90 years of Karstadt on Hermannplatz – The exhibition
To celebrate the 90th anniversary of Karstadt on Hermannplatz, a carefully curated exhibition took visitors on a journey through the turbulent past of the department store. Visitors were able to admire a large model of the building from the 1920s, as well as photographs and artefacts that illustrate the dynamic transformation of the department store.

With this brochure we present our traffic transformation vision for the Karstadt building on Hermannplatz. In the course of our new construction plans for the building, it was important for us to contribute to a safer, more sustainable and better traffic system around the Hermannplatz. Pedestrians, cyclists and public transport should have right of way!
